Drug information services are an action to provide accurate or objective
drug information services related to patient recovery. So drug information services
are very crucial in efforts to support good drug handling or use habits. Providing
drug information is really needed, where quite a large number of sufferers do not
receive complete drug information regarding the drugs they use, because the use of
drugs is not good and can be dangerous for the user. Quality of life and quality
care can reduce the impact of indiscipline regarding treatment plans. This type of
research is quantitative research. The sample in this study were patients who came
to buy medicine at the Mediplus Pharmacy, either with or without a prescription,
who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample consisted of 100 people.
The sampling technique in this research used quota sampling. How to collect data
using a checklist sheet filled in by respondents. The analysis in this study used
univariate analysis. The results of this research indicate that the drug information
service at the Mediplus Sidoarjo Pharmacy is in the good category. However, it is
not yet appropriate based on Minister of Health Regulation no. 73 of 2016
concerning Drug Information Service Standards with a score of 71.1% with each
aspect getting a score of drug name information of 100%, drug preparation
information of 95%, drug dosage information of 85%, information on how to use
drugs of 100%, drug indication information of 100 % Information on drug storage
is 76%, information on drug contraindications has a score of 0%, information on
drug stability is 55%, information on drug side effects is 60% and information on
drug interactions is only 40%.
