KARYA TULIS ILMIAH HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PERILAKU PASIEN APOTEK JAYA BARU DALAM MENGELOLA OBAT KADALUWARSA

Medicines are essential for all sick people for healing, recovery and
improving health. The majority of households store their medicines at home for
various purposes including emergency use and treatment of diseases. Storing
medicines for too long can not only cause physical damage to the medicine but
also cause the medicine to reach its expiration date. The purpose of this study was
to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of
Jaya Baru Pharmacy patients in managing expired medicines. The research
method used was quantitative with a descriptive design. The sampling technique
used non-probability with a purposive sampling method on patients. Data
collection was carried out using a questionnaire containing several questions to
respondents that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the
study showed that the level of knowledge of Jaya Baru Pharmacy patients in
managing expired medicines was in the category of less than 10.9%, sufficient
27.3% and good 61.8%. The behavior of Jaya Baru Pharmacy patients in
managing expired medicines was in the category of less than 11.8%, sufficient
30% and good 58.2%. So that there is a relationship between the level of
knowledge and the behavior of Jaya Baru Pharmacy patients in managing expired
