UJI AKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOL AMPAS BATANG TEBU (Saccahrum officinarum) TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR GULA DARAH DALAM MENCIT (Mus musculus L)

Batang tebu (Saccharunm officinarum) diketahui memiliki senyawa aktif flavonoid yang dapat digunakan masyarakat untuk obat Diabetes melitus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat aktivitas batang tebu terhadap penurunan glukosa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental, hewan uji yang digunakan sebanyak 25 ekor mencit putih yang diberi beban aloksan dan terbagi menjadi 5 kelompok, kelompok I kontrol di beri CMC 1%, kelompok II di beri glibenclamide, kelompok 3 sampai 5 diberikan dosis 50mg/KgBB, 100mg/KgBB, 150mg/KgBB. Hasil penelitian Ekstrak etanol ampas batang tebu (Saccharum officinarum) pada dosis dosis 50mg/KgBB, 100mg/KgBB, 150mg/KgBB mempunyai aktivitas antidiabetes pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus). Ekstrak etanol ampas batang tebu (Saccharum officinarum) yang paling efektif menurunkan kadar gula darah pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus) adalah pada dosis 150mg/KgBB. Didukumg uji One Way Anova dengan nilai 0,001 < 0,05 yang mempunyai arti bahwa adanya perbedaan yang disignifikasi pada kadar gula darah. Tetapi nilai penurunan masih lebih unggul pada obat diabetes melitus yaitu glibenclamide yang digunakan untuk peneliti sebagai pembanding.
ABSTRACT
Sugarcane stalks (Saccharunm officinarum) are known to have active compounds of flavonoids that can be used by the community for diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to see the activity of sugarcane stems on reducing glucose. This study was conducted using an experimental method, the test animals used were 25 white mice which were loaded with alloxan and divided into 5 groups, group I was given control CMC 1%, group II was given glibenclamide, groups 3 to 5 were given a dose of 50 mg/Kg BB , 100mg/KgBB, 150mg/KgBB. The results of the study The ethanol extract of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) pulp at doses of 50mg/KgBB, 100mg/KgBB, 150mg/KgBB has antidiabetic activity in male mice (Mus musculus). The most effective ethanol extract of sugarcane stalk (Saccharum officinarum) in reducing blood sugar levels in male mice (Mus musculus) was at a dose of 150 mg/Kg BB. It is supported by the One Way Anova test with a value of 0.001 <0.05 which means that there is a significant difference in blood sugar levels. However, the reduction value was still superior to the diabetes mellitus drug, namely glibenclamide, which was used by researchers as a comparison.
