KARYA TULIS ILMIAH HUBUNGAN USIA DAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TERHADAP CARA PENGGUNAAN Metered Dose Inhailer (MDI) PADA PASIEN ASMA DI RS. BHAYANGKARA SURABAYA

ABSTRAK
Asma merupakan penyakit peradangan saluran pernapasan kronik dengan tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas yang tinggi di dunia. Asma tidak bisa disembuhkan tetapi dengan asma manajement yang tepat asma dapat dikontrol. Sebagian besar pasien yang diresepkan untuk mengkonsumsi obat dengan menggunakan terapi alat inhalasi, tidak menggunakan alat inhalasi dengan tepat. Untuk itu perlu diteliti mengenai faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan terjadinya kesalahan cara penggunaan inhailer jenis MDI. Sehingga, faktor-faktor tersebut dapat diatasi dan menurunkan angka kesalahan cara penggunaan inhailer jenis MDI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan usia dan tingkat pengetahuan terhadap cara penggunaan MDI pada pasien asma. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif bersifat prospektif dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpul data sebanyak 40 responden yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dari pasien asma di RS. Bhayangkara Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil uji chi-square penelitian ini didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p value < 0,05) yang mana secara statistik menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang secara statistik signifikan antara variable usia dan tingkat pengetahuan penggunaan MDI. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pasien asma >56 tahun memungkinkan untuk memiliki tingkat pengetahuan MDI yang lebih rendah dari pada pasien asma <55 tahun meski telah diberi arahan dan penjelasan oleh Apoteker.
ABSTRACT
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory respiratory disease with a high rate of morbidity and mortality in the world. Asthma cannot be cured but with proper management asthma can be controlled. Most patients who are prescribed to take the drug with the use of inhalation tool therapy, do not use the inhalation tool appropriately. For this reason, it is necessary to study the factors related to the occurrence of errors in how to use the MDI type inhailer. Thus, these factors can be overcome and reduce the error rate of how to use the MDI type inhailer. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age and level of knowledge on how to use MDI in asthma patients. This study is a prospective descriptive study using a questionnaire as a data collection tool for 40 respondents selected by the purposive sampling method from asthma patients in the hospital. Bhayangkara Surabaya. Based on the results of the chi square test, this study obtained a significance value of 0.000 (p value < 0.05) which statistically showed a significant relationship. It was concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between age variables and the level of knowledge of MDI use. Based on the results of research on asthma patients >56 years of age, it is possible to have a lower level of MDI knowledge than asthma patients <55 years even though they have been given directions and explanations by pharmacists.
