KARYA TULIS ILMIAH EVALUASI EFEK SAMPING OBAT ANTI TUBERKULOSIS (OAT) PADA PASIEN POLI RAWAT JALAN DI RUMAH SAKIT RAHMAN RAHIM PERIODE JANUARI 2025

Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, which spreads through the
air when people cough, sneeze and talk. To treat TB, a combination therapy of
various TB drugs with a minimum period of 6 months is used. Factors that cause
cessation of treatment are due to OAT side effects. This study was conducted
descriptively and prospectively, data were collected through data collection sheets
filled by patients. The samples in this study were all patients with pulmonary
tuberculosis in the clinic of Rahman Rahim Sukodono Hospital. The results showed
that the side effects experienced by TB patients were nausea as many as 29 people
(72.5%), reddish urine as many as 28 people (70%), anorexia 14 people (35%),
abdominal pain 10 people (25%), indigestion 4 people (10%), tingling 11 people
(27.5%), drowsiness 4 people (10%), joint pain 10 people (25%), fever 6 people
(15%), dizziness 11 people (27.5%), and reddish itching 5 people (12.5%). The
conclusion of this study is that the most common side effect experienced by TB
patients is nausea. The handling of OAT side effects is to provide symptomatic
drugs such as anti-emetics, analgesics, antipyretics, and vitamin B6.
