KARYA TULIS ILMIAH AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DAN SKRINING FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SINTRONG (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore)

ABSTRAK
Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang berperan dalam menghambat oksidasi yang diperantarai oleh oksigen memiliki peran penting dalam pertahanan tubuh terhadap penyakit, hal ini disebabkan karena senyawa antioksidan mampu mencegah pengaruh buruk yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas. Daun sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) memiliki senyawa flavonoid diketahui bisa digunakan sebagai antioksidan. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dan nilai IC50 pada daun sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) terutama bagian ujung daun sekaligus senyawa yang terkandung didalamnya dan di bandingkan dengan Vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif terhadap aktivitas antioksidan. Metode Penelitian menggunakan ekstrak daun sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) terutama bagian ujung daun akan diuji dengan metode peredaman DPPH lalu dihitung dengan menggunakan spektrofotometri untuk mengetahui kandungan antioksidannya. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun sintrong memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan yang mampu menangkal radikal bebas dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 52,49 mg/ml. Kesimpulan terdapat aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak daun sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 52,49 mg/ml (kuat) akan tetapi aktivitas antioksidan yang diperoleh lebih besar kontrol positif sebesar 35,10 mg/ml (sangat kuat) dibandingkan ekstrak tersebut. Data ini didukung dengan T-Test Independen didapatkan nilai thitung > ttabel yang berarti terdapat perbedaan antara aktivitas antioksidan daun sintrong dan Vitamin C.
ABSTRACT
Antioxidants are compounds that play a role in inhibiting oxygen-mediated oxidation. These antioxidant compounds have an important role in the body's defense against disease, this is because antioxidant compounds are able to prevent the bad effects caused by free radicals. Sintrong leaves (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) has flavonoids compounds known to be used as antioxidants. Research objective to determine the antioxidant activity and IC50 value of sintrong leaves (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) especially the tips of the leaves as well as the compounds contained therein and compared with Vitamin C as a positive control on the antioxidant activity. This Research Method uses the leaf extract of sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) especially the leaf tips will be tested by the DPPH damping method and then calculated using spectrophotometry to determine the antioxidant content. Results showed that the ethanolic extract of sintrong leaves had antioxidant activity that was able to ward off free radicals with an IC50 value of 52.49 mg/ml. Conclusion there is antioxidant activity in the leaf extract of sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) with an IC50 value of 52.49 mg/ml (strong) but high antioxidant activityobtained greater positive control of 35.10 mg/ml (very strong) compared to the extract. This data is supported by the Independent T-Test the value of the thitung > ttabel, which means that there are differences in the antiokxidant activity of sintrong leaves and vitamin C.
