KARYA TULIS ILMIAH PROFIL PENGGUNAAN SIRUP OBAT BATUK PILEK PADA ANAK USIA 6 – 12TH DI PERUMAHAN PESONA PERMATA UNGU BULAN JUNI 2022

ABSTRAK
Penyakit batuk pilek merupakan penyakit yang sering dijumpai dimasyarakat yang disebabkan oleh virus resevoir manusia (Fitri, 2007). Batuk adalah pengeluaran sejumlah volume udara secara mendadak dari rongga toraks (dada) melalui epiglotis dan mulut (dr. Avie, 2014). Dengan demikian, batuk
mempunyai fungsi penting sebagai salah satu mekanisme utama pertahanan sistem pernafasan. Sedangkan, Pilek merupakan gangguan kesehatan di saluran pernafasan bagian atas. Penyebabnya ada dua macam, yaitu infeksi dan alergi. Akan tetapi, pilek pada anak – anak biasanya karena infeksi terutama virus.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab penyakit batuk pilek pada anak, mengetahui % kandungan obat batuk pilek yang sering dikonsumsi, dan mengetahui obat batuk pilek kombinasi yang banyak digunakan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuisioner.
Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa kandungan sirup obat batuk pilek pada anak yang
sering digunakan yaitu guaifenesin sebanyak 20,5%, gliceryl guaiacolat sebanyak 12,6%, pseudoefedrin sebanyak 36,8%, phenilpropanolamine sebanyak 5,4%, dan dextromethorphan sebanyak 24,7%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kandungan sirup obat batuk pilek yang sering digunakan / dikonsumsi adalah pseudoefedrin dan dextromethorphan.
Kesimpulan dari penelitian yaitu dari 110 responden orang tua semua orang tua di perumahan pesona ungu RT 03 menggunakan obat batuk pilek jenis
sirup untuk mengobati batuk pilek pada anaknya.
ABSTRACT
Cough and cold is a disease that is often found in the community caused by a human reservoir virus (Fitri, 2007). Cough is the sudden expulsion of a large
volume of air from the thoracic cavity (chest) through the epiglottis and mouth (Dr. Avie, 2014). Thus, cough has an important function as one of the main
defense mechanisms of the respiratory system. Meanwhile, the common cold is a health disorder in the upper respiratory tract. The cause there are two kinds, namely infection and allergies. However, colds in children are usually due to infections, especially viruses.
The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of cough and cold in children, to find out the % content of cough and cold medicines that are often
consumed, and to find out which combination cough and cold medicines are widely used. This research method uses descriptive research with a qualitative
approach. The data collection technique was done by quisionare.
The results of this study indicate that from the results of this study, it can be seen that the content of cough syrup in children that is often used is guaifenesin as much as 20.5%, glyceryl guaiacolat as much as 12.6%, pseudoephedrine as much as 36.8%, phenylpropanolamine as much as 5.4%, and dextromethorphan as much as 24.7%. So it can be concluded that the content of cough syrup that is often used/consumed is pseudoephedrine and dextromethorphan.
The conclusion of the study is that from 110 respondents, all parents in the RT 03 charm purple housing used cough syrup type to treat coughs and colds in their children.
