ABSTRAK
Iklan adalah media informasi yang sebagian besar berisi promosi produk untuk menarik perhatian pembeli. Media massa yang umum adalah televisi, salah satunya muncul iklan obat batuk yang menimbulkan pembeli melakukan pengobatan sendiri (Ariani, 2011). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengaruh iklan obat batuk di televisi terhadap swamedikasi obat batuk. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Maret 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional dengan desain penelitian Chi Square. Sample penelitian (subjek) yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 orang dengan kriteria membeli obat di Apotek Nursyifa, sudah melihat dan pernah tahu iklan obat, berumur diatas 17 tahun dan bisa membaca dan menulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara iklan obat batuk terhadap swamedikasi obat batuk pada masyarakat di Apotek Nursyifa. Hal ini disebabkan karena faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini seperti peran AA (Asisten Apoteker) memberikan swamedikasi tentang obat batuk.

ABSTRACT
Advertising is a medium of information that mostly contains product promotions to attract the attention of buyers. The common mass media is television, one of which appears advertising cough medicine that causes buyers to self-medicate (Ariani, 2011). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the influence of cough medicine advertisements on television on cough medicine self-medication. This study began in March 2021. This study used a cross sectional method with a Chi Square research design. The research sample (subjects) involved in this study were 100 people with the criteria of buying drugs at the Nursyifa Pharmacy, had seen and had known drug advertisements, were over 17 years old and could read and write. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between cough medicine advertisements and cough medicine self-medication in the community at Nursyifa Pharmacy. This is due to other factors not examined in this study, such as the role of PA (Pharmacist Assistant) in providing self-medication about cough medicine.
