Background : A study was conducted to determine the effect of the drying method onthe total flavonoid levels of rosella flowers by UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. Objective : This study aims to determine whether or not there are differences in thetotal flavonoid levels of dried rosella flowers by different methods. Method: The dryingmethod intended in this study is the solar heat drying method and the oven drying method. The method of drying the sun's heat is carried out for 7 days and starts at08.00-15.00, while drying using an oven is carried out at a temperature of 50 ̊C for 48hours. This research was conducted quantitatively using quercetin as a standardstandard. This research includes the determination of wavelength, operating time, quercetin standard curve, precision, accuracy, and analysis of sample levels, namelyroselle flower extract. Rosella flowers tested are rosella flowers that grow in Malang,East Java. Result :Based on the research results obtained that the wavelength of 436nm quercetin at a concentration of 40ppm, operating time at minute 5, the standardcurve produces a value of r = 0.999, precision and accuracy meet the requirements. Conclusion : In the sample test results showed that there were differences in the totalflavonoid levels of rosella flowers, with total flavonoid levels of rosella flowers with thesun drying method was 2.13028% w / w, drying with the oven method resulted in levelsof 1.81282% w / w.
