Analysis of β-carotene levels in Juwet fruit (Syzygium Cumini)by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of β-carotene in Juwet Fruit (Syzygium Cumini)by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Juwet Fruit (Syzygium Cumini)samples were extracted with acetone solvent. The extract obtained was extracted again with a petroleum ether solvent, then saponified with a 15% KOH solvent in methanol. The extract is liberated with distilled water. The extract obtained was dried with anhydrous Na2SO4. The extract obtained was analyzed qualitatively using Thin Layer Chromatography, and quantitative analysis using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 332.1539 nm obtained an average level of β-carotene in juwets 1,25 mg.Analysis of Vitamin C levels in juwet fruit (Syzygium Cumini)by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Juwet juice (Syzyzgium Cumini) samples taken as much as 5 grams were dissolved in 50 ml of distilled water. the solvent used is aquadest, with the aim of vitamin c will be attracted by aquadest and read its absorption in Uv-Vis spectrophotometry. At 265.3 nm wavelength obtained an average level of Vitamin C in 1.473 mg juwet.
